PetNation was the product of playing too much Pet Society on Facebook. Really… no kidding. I was fiddling with it almost daily for a few months so much so someone from the insurance company suggested to me to take up the pet insurance project. Talking about law of attraction!
Starting the Malaysia’s only pet insurance has not been an easy task. I didn’t expect it to be easy, but I didn’t expect it to be that difficult. Friends liked to comment that it is a ‘blue ocean’ opportunity. The experience had given me the opportunity to have a taste of what those great achievers from the Blue Ocean book had encoutered when they first started out. I found out that, in most opportunity that seemed to be a blue ocean opportunity, most often there was no ocean to begin with. Take for instance, If people have never worn shoes or seen shoes before means that there had never been a market for shoes. The primary role will be to create the market, educate the target market about the benefits, influencing the masses and make wearing shoes a cultural must thing, its for safety and it has become a habit. I have taken up the responsiblity to ensure a sustainable pet insurance industry in our country.
